Tucson Clay Co-op
Downtown Tucson · Tucson, Arizona
The Tucson Clay Co-op functions as Tucson's primary community home for the ceramic arts — a working studio where members have access to wheels, kilns, hand-building tables, and the shared knowledge of a community of potters that spans beginners learning to center clay for the first time to professional artists with established exhibition careers. The co-op's gallery presents rotating exhibitions of member work and occasional invited artists, creating a public window into the breadth and depth of ceramic practice happening within the studio. Classes and workshops introduce students of all ages and experience levels to the medium, and the open studio model encourages the kind of informal learning and exchange between artists that formal art education often can't replicate.
