Ballroom Marfa
Downtown Marfa · Marfa, Texas
Ballroom Marfa is a nonprofit arts and culture space in a restored 1927 Presidio County building presenting cutting-edge contemporary art, music, and film in the Chihuahuan Desert - one of the most unexpected and consistently rewarding cultural destinations in the American West. Founded in 2003 in the cultural wake of the Chinati Foundation's transformation of Marfa, Ballroom has developed its own distinct identity, commissioning new work and presenting exhibitions that engage with the landscape, history, and cultural complexity of far west Texas alongside international contemporary practice. Ballroom's residency program, public art commissions - including the celebrated "Prada Marfa" collaboration - and programming across art, music, and film make it one of the most multidisciplinary arts organizations in Texas.
