Coconino Center for the Arts
North Flagstaff · Flagstaff, Arizona
Founded in 1993 and named for the vast Colorado Plateau country that surrounds Flagstaff, the Coconino Center for the Arts has grown into one of northern Arizona's most important nonprofit arts institutions. The center hosts a busy calendar of rotating exhibitions that span contemporary and traditional work, with particular attention to artists whose practice is rooted in the landscapes, Indigenous traditions, and multicultural character of the Colorado Plateau region. Beyond the gallery, Coconino is known for its role in Flagstaff's annual Festival of Science and the Viola Awards — a celebration of Arizona's creative community. Events and programming run year-round.
