Mesa Arts Center
Downtown Mesa · Mesa, Arizona
When Mesa Arts Center opened in 2005, it instantly became the largest arts complex in the American Southwest — five theaters and four gallery spaces set on a stunning campus of desert-inspired architecture. The visual arts program presents national and regional exhibitions of significant scope, with recent seasons bringing major contemporary artists to galleries that were purpose-built for ambitious installation and large-format work. Mesa Arts Center also functions as a community hub, with art education programs, public events, and an outdoor plaza that becomes a gathering point for the East Valley arts scene. The building alone — designed by Allied Works Architecture — is worth a visit.
