Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles
Arts District · Los Angeles, California
Hauser & Wirth Los Angeles, in the Arts District east of downtown, is one of the most spectacular gallery spaces in the world. The two-acre campus combines renovated industrial spaces with a restaurant and garden designed by landscape architect Piet Oudolf — the same designer behind New York's High Line plantings. Exhibitions span the full Hauser & Wirth roster of blue-chip international artists, from Louise Bourgeois and Philip Guston to Rashid Johnson and Christina Quarles. The campus has anchored the Arts District's transformation into a major cultural destination, drawing visitors from around the world to a neighborhood once known primarily for warehouses.
