Indian Pueblo Cultural Center
Uptown Albuquerque · Albuquerque, New Mexico
The Indian Pueblo Cultural Center is the only institution in the United States owned and operated by all 19 Pueblos of New Mexico, making it the authoritative voice on Pueblo culture, history, and living art. The permanent exhibition traces the history of the Pueblo peoples from prehistoric times through the 1680 Pueblo Revolt to the present, while rotating galleries present contemporary work by Pueblo artists whose pottery, jewelry, textiles, and painting represent the continuation of traditions thousands of years in the making. The center's restaurant, featuring traditional Pueblo cuisine, and its Indian Pueblo Store - offering authentic arts directly from Pueblo artists - make it an essential destination for anyone visiting New Mexico.
