Jerome Art Walk
Historic Jerome · Jerome, Arizona
Perched dramatically on Cleopatra Hill above the Verde Valley, Jerome is one of Arizona's most extraordinary art communities — a former copper mining boomtown that reinvented itself as an artist colony beginning in the 1970s. The Jerome Art Walk, held on the first Saturday evening of each month, is the best way to experience this remarkable concentration of working artists in a single evening. Galleries, studios, and artist-run spaces open their doors, often welcoming visitors with wine and conversation alongside whatever is on the walls. It's an uncommonly intimate experience — the artists are typically present, and the town's steep streets and Victorian architecture make the walk itself a pleasure.
