Jerome Artists' Cooperative Gallery
Historic Jerome · Jerome, Arizona
Established in 2000, the Jerome Artists' Cooperative Gallery is a cornerstone of Jerome's art community — a collectively run space representing more than 40 artists who live and work in and around this historic hillside town. The range of work is deliberately broad: oil and acrylic paintings drawing on the Verde Valley's dramatic topography, hand-built and wheel-thrown ceramics, silver and turquoise jewelry made in the Southwest tradition, and sculpture in bronze, wood, and mixed media. Because member artists staff the gallery themselves, visitors frequently find themselves in direct conversation with the maker of the work they're examining — one of the great pleasures of a cooperative gallery model.
