Laguna Gloria
West Austin · Austin, Texas
Laguna Gloria is Contemporary Austin's lushly landscaped outdoor campus on Lake Austin, presenting site-specific sculpture and rotating outdoor installations in the gardens of a historic 1916 Mediterranean Revival villa. The property - a gift to the city that became one of Austin's most beloved cultural venues - combines the beauty of the natural landscape with ambitious contemporary sculpture that responds to its setting, creating an experience of art in the environment that no indoor gallery can replicate. Laguna Gloria also houses the acclaimed Rebekah Baines Johnson Art School, which has offered children's art education in this extraordinary setting for decades, making it as important to Austin's creative future as to its present.
