Millicent Rogers Museum
Museum Road · Taos, New Mexico
The Millicent Rogers Museum is one of the finest collections of Native American and Hispanic art and artifacts from the American Southwest, assembled by the fashion icon and art collector Millicent Rogers who fell in love with Taos in the final years of her short life. The collection's centerpiece is one of the finest assemblages of Pueblo jewelry ever put together - rings, bracelets, necklaces, and ceremonial objects in silver, turquoise, coral, and jet - alongside Diné and Rio Grande blankets, San Ildefonso pottery by María Martínez, and devotional objects from New Mexico's Hispanic communities. The museum's intimate scale and exceptional quality make it one of the most rewarding experiences on the northern New Mexico museum circuit.
